The publication prize of Japan Society of Civil Engineers in 2010 (24 May 2011)
"Multi-Scale Modeling of Structural Concrete" was selected for the publication prize of Japan Society of Civil Engineers in 2010. The authers are Prof. Koichi MAEKAWA, Associate prof. Tetsuya ISHIDA and Prof. Toshiharu KISHI.
Open house of Komaba research campus (May 2011)
The open house of Komaba research campus will be held.

Information is at the website of Institute of Industrial Science. The Kishi laboratory is going to introduce the research on "self-healing concrete and surface quality evaluation". The Kishi laboratory will also take part in the educational program for junior high and high school students(SNG) this year.

Dr.Tae Ho AHN and Dr.Toshiharu KISHI received the Excellent Paper Award of Japan Concrete Institute Award 2010 for the general research topic of "Self-healing mechanism and material design of cracked concrete".

Prof. Kishi appeared on the science documentary program "Next Door", broadcasted by Tokyo Broadcast System(TBS) on 27 February. The program featured the Prof.Kishi and his colleagues' research activity about the crack self-healing concrete. TBS's website is introducing the program.
Presentation awards of the JSCE annual conference (4 Jan 2011)
The students and graduates of the Kishi laboratory received the presentation awards of the 65th JSCE annual conference, which took place during 1 to3 September in 2010.
They are Yuya SAKAI, Mariko YABE, Yuya TAKAHASHI and Kezuka TAKAHIRO.
Three outstanding papers of the year 2010, ACT(2010.12.25)
Dr.Tae Ho AHN and Dr.Toshiharu KISHI's paper "Crack Self-healing Behavior of Cementitious Composites Incorporating Various Mineral Admixtures" was selected for "Three outstanding papers of the year 2010" of the Journal of Advanced Concrete Technology(ACT).
YOSHIDA incentive award, Incentive award of the JCI annual conference, Presentation award of the JCA annual conference (15 Oct 2010)
Yuya SAKAI(D2) received the YOSHIDA incentive award in 2010 and the incentive award of the 32nd JCI annual conference. Dr. Shinichiro OKAZAKI and Dr. Ryo YOSHIDA also received the YOSHIDA incentive award in 2009. They graduated from the Kishi laboratory.
Masaru MORITA(M2) received the presentation award of the 64th JCA annual conference.
